Warpstock Wants You To Distribute Flyers

Warpstock, Inc. (Internet)
Contact: David Ameiss, Secretary (david@ameissnet.com)

Do you live in or near Philadelphia? If so, then Warpstock wants you to spread the word!

The Warpstock Committee has created a one-page flyer for Warpstock 2000, which needs to be reproduced and distributed throughout Philadelphia and the surrounding area. If you live within the greater Philadelphia area or a few hours' driving distance (e.g. in New York City, Washington, D.C., or anywhere in New Jersey), please download this flyer, print it out, copy it, and distribute it.

The flyer is available as a color PDF, which can be view and printed from Adobe Acrobat Reader, downloaded from http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html. A color printout is much more visually appealing, so please make color printouts and copies if possible.

To download the flyer, click on this link: http://www.warpstock.org/2000/ws_flyer.pdf

The flyer should be distributed anywhere and everywhere you think people who might be interested in OS/2 will see it. Some good places are:

  • University billboards, since students can attend Warpstock for free
  • Near computer stores and other retail outlets where computer hardware is sold
  • Utility poles and other acceptable posts along the streets
  • Outside your office or cubicle
  • With or inside magazines or newspapers that are on display
  • Near restaurants where people have lunch
  • Tourist information offices
  • Shopping malls
  • Computer user groups

If you live in the city of Philadelphia, the Philadelphia Area Computer Society has already made several copies and is looking for volunteers to distribute them throughout the city.

These flyers are the only regional advertisement that Warpstock 2000 will have, so if they are distributed well, it will make a big difference. The more people who attend Warpstock this year, the better next year's will be, so spread the word!

The 4th annual Warpstock conference will be held September 9-10, 2000, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and is produced by Warpstock, Inc., a North Carolina non-profit corporation. The Warpstock annual conference is a gathering of OS/2 users and vendors from around the world for the purpose of education and advocacy. More information is available at the Warpstock 2000 web site: http://www.warpstock.org or its mirror site: http://www.ibmforum.com/warpstock/
